1. What this service is
Parlaid (the "Service") is a research and analytics tool for backtesting sports-betting strategies, operated by ProveHouse LLC, a New Jersey limited liability company ("we," "us"). You compose a bet rule — league, bet type, side, entry point, conditions — and the Service replays it against a database of completed historical games and resolved prediction markets, reporting ROI, win rate, and an equity curve. The TradeBin section applies the same method to resolved yes/no event markets.
The Service is not a sportsbook and is not a gambling service. It does not accept wagers, move money, hold funds, or connect to any sportsbook or betting account. "Bots" are paper simulations seeded with fictional bankrolls: no real money or real bets are ever involved.
2. No betting advice
Nothing produced by the Service is betting advice, a prediction, or an inducement to gamble. Backtested returns are historical simulations: they describe what a rule would have done in past games, and past results do not predict future outcomes. Sports outcomes are uncertain, and any real-world betting you do — anywhere else — is your own decision and your own risk.
If you choose to bet with real money elsewhere, never bet money you can't afford to lose. If gambling stops being fun, help is free and confidential: call or text 1-800-GAMBLER.
3. Eligibility and accounts
You must be at least 18 years old, and of legal age in your jurisdiction, to use the Service. The core features work without an account. Creating an account — used to save backtests and run paper bots — requires only a username and password; we do not collect an email address. Your username doubles as your public leaderboard handle. You are responsible for keeping your password secure; because we hold no email address for you, lost credentials may not be recoverable.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- attempt to access other users' data or probe, scan, or test the Service's security;
- scrape, resell, or redistribute the Service's data or results in bulk;
- present simulated results as real betting performance, or use the Service to mislead others;
- circumvent rate limits;
- register offensive or impersonating usernames.
5. Leaderboard and your content
Submitting a strategy to the leaderboard publishes your handle, the strategy rule, and its backtested result publicly. Leaderboard entries are recomputed by our own servers — self-reported results are never trusted or displayed. You retain ownership of strategy rules you compose; you grant us a license to store, process, and display them as needed to run the Service, including public display on the leaderboard where you submit them.
6. Free service
The Service is currently provided free of charge, with no paid features. If paid features are ever introduced, they will be announced on the site, billed through a payment processor (Stripe), and covered by updated terms and refund provisions before any charge occurs.
7. Availability, data durability, and changes
The Service is provided without any commitment to availability. Some stored data — including leaderboard entries, saved backtests, and paper-bot state — may be reset when the Service is redeployed; where that risk exists, the Service says so in the interface. Features may change, be suspended, or be discontinued at any time.
8. Disclaimer of warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. HISTORICAL SPORTS AND MARKET DATA MAY CONTAIN ERRORS, AND WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT RESULTS ARE ERROR-FREE.
9. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, PROVEHOUSE LLC WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY GAMBLING OR BETTING LOSSES INCURRED ANYWHERE, ARISING FROM OR RELATING TO THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM AND ONE HUNDRED US DOLLARS (US$100).
10. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute arising from these terms or the Service will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in New Jersey, and you consent to their jurisdiction.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The effective date above reflects the latest revision. For material changes we will give notice on the site before the new terms take effect. Continuing to use the Service after a change takes effect means you accept the updated terms.
